Hines usually doesn't have a problem sharing details with fans, but this looks like a much bigger problem than it appears. The PS4 mod support update was intended to launch in June but has since been delayed yet according to a report from Metro, it has not yet been cancelled.
Though he couldn't reveal much, it looked like he wasn't even able to get into specifics. Bethesda Softworks 'Fallout 4' began supporting the mod community early in the year with mod support for PC launching in April and for the Xbox One in May.

Since then, Bethesda hasn't yet released a public beta for mods on PS4, or really talked about them again, until this week. Some of these issues include a file size limit of 900 MB, sound files in mods not being compatible with the console's OS, and other problems when working with PC textures, something most mods will be using. Bethesda noted a number of big limitations it has run into with Sony and the PS4, but even that was a long while ago. Though the service successfully launched on Xbox One over two months ago, PlayStation 4 owners have yet to see it. The ability for Fallout 4 players on consoles to enjoy mods just like their PC brethren, has been one of the biggest features of the game.
